DSigned

Professional support for Deaf people navigating business systems

We support Deaf people who are starting, running, or stabilising their own businesses — particularly in trades and practical work — by helping them make sense of systems that are often unclear or hard to access.

This is not an interpreting service. It is practical, professional support focused on clarity, decisions, and next steps.

What we do

Running a business often means dealing with systems that assume confidence, fluency, and prior knowledge.

We help by slowing things down, explaining things clearly, and helping you decide what to do next.

  • Understanding business structures and responsibilities
  • Navigating forms, processes, and compliance requirements
  • Preparing for conversations with professionals or suppliers
  • Making sense of options before committing to them

We don’t push fixed packages or one-size-fits-all solutions. Support starts with understanding what you’re trying to do — and what’s getting in the way.

Who this is for

DSigned is for Deaf people who:

  • are considering self-employment or business ownership
  • already run a business but feel stuck or unsure
  • work in trades or practical industries and want clearer footing

You don’t need everything worked out. You don’t need the “right” language. You just need a place to start.

What this is not

  • BSL interpreting
  • a training provider
  • a sales or growth agency

If something sits outside our scope, we’ll say so — and where possible, help you find the right next step.

Why DSigned exists

DSigned began with providing BSL access within the construction industry.

Over time, the work shifted. The need wasn’t only communication — it was understanding systems that weren’t designed with Deaf people in mind.

DSigned now exists to support that gap: not by doing everything for you, but by helping you understand enough to move forward with confidence.
